The Greek term, Kallos Sthenos, means “beautiful strength”. The word calisthenics was derived from Kallos Sthenos, referring to the graceful movements and strength of the early-day strong man. Kallos is not only a word that means “beauty”, it is an ideal developed in ancient Greek thought that represents not only physical beauty but also physical and mental strength, vigor, and virtues of the soul. These concepts are interwoven into every aspect of our mission, and even our logo. The running man resembles the beauty and complexity of effortless movement. The lotus flower resembles mental strength, and the infinity symbol represents eternal connection – the connection of mind and body, the connection of fascia, muscles, nerves, bones, the brain, and the heart. One system depends on the other; they are inseparable, and one directly affects the other. Kallos - this single word embodies our philosophy: that health, wellness, and fitness are not simply about how you look, but more importantly, how you feel and function. Let us help you find your path to better movement and overall well-being.

About Me
Cara Reichert
Founder
I have always had a passion for learning about the body. It began in high school with one of the best science teachers you could ask for. I graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology. My career began in 2012 as a Licensed Massage Therapist at an Aveda Salon and Spa in St. Louis. I moved back to Kansas after a couple of years and began working as a Chiropractic Assistant and Physiotherapist. Being part of a sports chiropractic office further strengthened my desire to help people in more ways than just massage. Combining massage and fitness has broadened the scope of how I view, approach, and treat each person. My mission is to assist people on their path to wellness, no matter if that is through rejuvenating the mind, body, or both. In my spare time, I love being with my family and friends, especially outdoors or on the lake. I also enjoy playing sports, volunteering, and playing with our pets, Bella, Ralph, Niles, and Gunner.
