MASSAGE THERAPY

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is about comfort and relaxation. The therapist uses light to moderate pressure in a range of long, relaxing strokes to focus on more superficial layers of muscles. Swedish Massage is ideal for relaxation, acute stress relief, rejuvenating muscles, and improving circulation

This specialized massage combines relaxing Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, acupressure points, essential oils, and hot towels. Feel stress melt away from the inside out by beginning with the soothing aroma of lavender and the deep penetrating heat from hot towels. Deep tissue massage is then performed on common stress areas of the neck, shoulders, back, and forearms. Certain acupressure points are stimulated throughout the massage to re-energize the body. With a perfect combination of relaxing and therapeutic techniques, this massage is ideal for those wanting to manage the negative physical and physiological effects of stress.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage involves working your way into the deeper muscle layers after first warming up the muscles on top. A combination of slow, deliberate strokes are utilized to decrease tension in the deeper muscles, particularly on tight or tender areas. The therapist will use more pressure than one would typically experience during a Swedish Massage. Deep tissue massage is ideal for chronic tightness and overuse injuries.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a more specific and aggressive approach to massage that is geared around the athlete and their specific sport. It is designed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after an event, or maintain peak performance during training. However, you don't have to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage. Sports massage also benefits people experiencing chronic or acute pain, work-related injuries, and those with restricted ranges of motion. Sports Massage is ideal for those looking to enhance performance, reduce injury risk, speed up the recovery process, and improve overall function.

Orthopedic Massage

This one-of-a-kind massage focuses on correcting muscular issues caused by poor posture, repetitive movement injuries, lack of movement, or any combination thereof.  It combines assessment or screens, IASTM, deep tissue massage, fascial stretching, and corrective exercises. The initial visit will begin with an assessment to determine areas of tightness or weakness. If needed, the functional movement screen (FMS) can be used to analyze specific movement patterns that will highlight problems with stability and mobility throughout the body. During the massage session, the client can expect IASTM, cupping, stretching, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, contrast therapy, or other modalities the therapist determines necessary. Sessions will end with corrective exercises or stretches that will help “lock in” the new mobility or stability gained during treatment. This massage is ideal for those seeking to function better and manage pain or chronic conditions by addressing muscular and postural issues.

NOTE: The below options include the 30 minutes added for the assessments or exercises. (The 60-minute is a 30-minute massage with 30 minutes for assessment/exercises).
